Become an Approved Extraglaze Fitter

Being an Extraglaze Fitter is a genuine addition to your portfolio.

Please note especially that winter is our busiest time, just when many trades suffer a quiet period.

We get "Fitted by Us" enquiries from all over the UK, with projects ranging from one window to dozens. We want to be able to pass on these enquiries, free of charge, to nearby fitters that have been approved by ourselves. If you are a tradesman or consider yourself similarly skilled then we would be happy to hear from you and guide you through the approval process.

There are no fees or subscriptions.

Extraglaze can be easy to install or difficult, depending on the individual window concerned. A simple installation will make good business with a quick turnaround, while a window that demands your craftsmanship will take longer, requiring more of your labour time. Some projects can be very valuable, especially when Extraglaze offers a solution that other types of secondary glazing cannot offer.

Becoming an Approved Fitter
Once you have many projects under your belt you will be considered an Approved Fitter. You will feel like you are part of our family. As well as sign-post enquiries your way we will be able to highly recommend you, for your experience at solving different types of secondary glazing challenges, and because your customers have told us how delighted they are with your work.

We are here to help
Training is not required, though we can offer this. We can help you on site (for a fee) and remotely (free of charge). Involving us in a job might make the difference of getting the work done faster, at the right price, and saying Yes instead of No to a job.

Perhaps best of all, our customers rave about Extraglaze, consequently many installations that you complete will generate others, from a friend or neighbour.

Extraglaze Fitters offer the following services free of charge locally, or for a fee when it is out of the way. Just like we do ourselves for enquiries close to our main office and far afield respectively.

Great samples
Very helpful on phone

Product : Product works as described , is easy to fit and you don’t notice it.
With some other makes when you remove the panel in the summer you are left with a black ugly Manet, but extraglazes magnet is the same colour as the window and ‘disappears’

The only negative is that they should show an example of a window with multiple openers with multiple panels vs one large panel.
We bought large panels which are a pain to store in summer and are now replacing them with individual panels which are far easier to remove and store

But overall we love them

Great Quality

Service rating : The product was well built, simple and solid. Easy to fit in and out of place as we can see fit. Very happy to recommend.
Product : It has made such a difference to our summer room. We had been using a compact air conditioning unit to keep the temperature down in the summer, but had been needing to leave a window open for the hose (which in turn let warm air in). Nic managed to design build and fit a simple extra glaze solution that enables us to feed the pipe through the window and keep the room closed. Very happy with the product.

Great product and service

Service rating : Great customer service - no quibble when we receive a product with a defect. Service seems personal, human and so much better than a large company.
Product : Great product that has really helped us make our draughty old Victorian house much more energy efficient. There's an added bonus that we also hear much less noise from the road outside. They look great too - visitors are often amazed when we show them that they are there!

Product : These secondary glazing panels are perfect for my draughty little listed house. They are easy to use, look great (hardly noticeable) and are very effective at stopping the draughts.
I'm saving up so that each time I can afford another, I eliminate more draughts!
They aren't expensive for the quality, and always perfectly made and brilliantly packaged.

an excellent company to deal with

Service rating : Clare communication despite a re reschedule delivery and plenty of telephone advice before ordering.
Product : clear and concise installation instructions. The glazing panels were very well packed and arrived in pristine condition.
Following installation we have noticed a huge improvement in warmth and insulation, yet The secondary glazing is barely noticeable.
as these panels provide extra insulation for roof lights inside a sloped ceiling, extraglaze we’re able to supply wider magnetic strips for greater security.
