Important guidance is shown below

Please order as follows:
- STEEL, by the metre*. Orders over 1m are supplied in one continuous length. For example if you need 4.4m then please order 5m.
- STAINLESS STEEL strips essential for damp and wet rooms: please specify a quantity above here, because these are supplied in fixed lengths* of 950mm or 980mm. They will very neatly butt up together if you require a longer length.

*CUTTING TO LENGTH: We can cut these to your requirements without additional charge: in the Additional notes section of our Checkout page please specify what you need, for example "4 @ 0.8m, plus 2 @ 0.6m". Please advise if we should discard the offcuts.

Simply peel away the pink/red protective coating then apply the metal tape to the left and right sides of the panel you have chosen to stack onto. Click on the window image above to see an animation of how this works. The green highlights show the position of the strips.

Stacking Strip is a steel (or stainless steel) self adhesive tape which can be fixed to the front of an Extraglaze panel. This allows an adjacent panel of the same width to be safely 'stacked' on top, giving you unobstructed access to the window so that it can be opened. The panel can be kept there for the duration of the warmer months, so your window can be opened at any time without having to handle the panel regularly.

IMPORTANT NOTE: you should not rely on one panel's magnets to also take the weight of a second (or "guest") panel. Where Stacking Strip is suggested then it is applied left and right on the "host" panel. On sash windows this host should always be the lower panel. The "guest" panel must be allowed to slide down to a resting position. As a consequence the weight of the "guest" should be taken by a window sill immediately below it, or a reliable support.
